I had a rad weekend. Went out to the river with some friends and family. As always, it was a great time. I ended up with some battle wounds, but all good times come with a price to pay. It’s always fun to get together with good people like that. Can’t wait for Labor Day, although I’ll be back at the river house before that. I’m gonna do some work on the houses to make them better and more efficient while we’re there.

I used to go to the local jiffy lube to get my oil changed; i figured i have the money to have someone else do it, so whatever.
today, i went back, and they tried to charge me $95 to change my oil. i told them to fuck themselves and i’ll never go back. i ended up getting out of there for $65, which is less than usual though
never go to jiffy lube.

Over the weekend, my whole family was at the desert. One of the people in the group found this BAD ASS wash back behind Superstition Mountain, so he came back and told everyone about it. The next day, many of the people in the camp went on a ride down said wash and back. Some people weren’t able to go on the first trip, so we decided to take another. On the way back, we saw some flashy red lights and we were dumb enough to stop. Apparently the wash was in a live bombing area, and the military police were out and about because the night before someone had gotten in one of the target practice tanks and spun the turret.(Seriously, first of all, why was the tank still operable, and second, who was dumb enough to try to operate it?!) Well after 2 hours of chillin’ (quite literally), I got a ticket for trespassing on military property, which is a mandatory appearance in federal court, and I had to ride back to camp at night with no jacket and I had tinted lenses in my goggles. It was a really joyful experience all around and I can’ wait for the court date lol.

But for the real issue here, that was a rad wash. It’s several miles long and it’s all smooth. Who’s down to mob it with me? Night trip maybe?

Christmas

It’s official; the lights on my house are up, and so is the tree. For some reason, it just doesn’t seem to be the holiday season until my house is all decked out. I even have lights in my room. It’s not by choice, but we needed to run them through my room because there was no convenient outlets outside. I’m alright with it, though, because they’re behind my entertainment center and they only put out a small glow from there. This time last year I had some family tragedies so Christmas didn’t seem as special, so I hope this year makes up for it.

Oh crap; I have barely started my shopping. I hate stores this time of year. I don’t like crowds or crying babies, and ’tis the season for both… SON OF A BITCH!!!

Jiu Jitsu Update

I managed to get my first (3) wins tonight at my Jiu Jitsu class. I am so stoked I don’t know what to do with myself. Although they were all against one guy who is much smaller than me, I feel that it was well deserved. Now I want to go back even worse. I think the key was patience, even though it didn’t take much. I didn’t just go out and blow all my energy in the initial clench. I can’t wait for a new challenge next week.

Listen up kids, it’s time to talk about guns. Despite all the anti-firearm propaganda we are all exposed to, I believe that guns are a good thing to know about. It’s fun to shoot at stuff at the desert or any other safe, remote environment. I believe that everyone should at least know how to use a gun, just for safety. There is nothing deadlier than ignorance, and guns will never go away, so learn about them! Respect them and chances are there will never be a mishap. As of now I own a 12 guage Remington 870, and I plan to get a new 45 caliber when I turn 21.

It’s funny how music can affect moods and bring back memories. There are many songs that every time I hear them I think of a certain occasion. Most of them bring back good times and that brings me great joy. I can even just think of a certain song and it will put me in a better mood. I know just what music to listen to to pump me up, or chill me out. I believe that music is one of the biggest motivators in the world. I honestly don’t know what I would do without it. I ALWAYS have music going through my head and I don’t like wearing earphones or anything so I wish there was a way to just amplify the music that is running in my head. I would be a kickass worker if that were to happen, and I would probably he happier at work. That would be rad.

No Work?

I went from having no work to having more work than I know what to do with. I know I shouldn’t complain because some people would kill to be working right now, but WTF

Apparently me having no work for 3 days was punishment for being late. BS if you ask me, but whatever.

All week I had to be up in Carlsbad at 6; even yesterday, which was a Saturday. It’s nice because when I get the check for last week I’m gonna be doing pretty good, and next week will be even better. Mandatory overtime next week on Wednesday and Friday for me and my coworker. We will work a full day, then go home, eat dinner, and cruise up to Rancho Bernardo at 7pm. From there we will work until the job is done, probably about 2 hours. Overtime just in time for the holidays, and I can use it for sure. My 3 days off was pretty cool, but now I’m ready to go back to work.
